On playing it safe

On my lack of accurate self evaluation

On whether or not I can do it

On Cabaret

On luck

On being less talented than teenagers

On maybe not being talented at all, just smart

On not being all that smart

On being a nerd

On how being a nerd only gets you so far

On being nice

On how being nice only gets you so far

On taking advantage

On what if

On what next

On self value

On food. On lack of food. On dance. On working out.

On getting lazy

On lacking a specific goal

On unemployment

On old dudes with girlfriends

On irresponsible girlfriends

On angering people

On burning bridges

On trust

On altruism

On being twenty two and how i don't want to be

On wearing makeup on a daily basis for the first time ever

On having attended an all girls school

On feeling stupid and incompetent

On feeling bored and alone

On feeling inspired and motivated, mostly due to competition

On how that's probably not right

On how it wouldn't be an issue if I had won in the first place

On success as revenge

On feeling unimportant and insignificant

On narcissism

On quarter life crises

On a current need for advice. From smart, successful people who genuinely care. Irresponsible, delusional, or hateful people need not apply. Nor strangers. Nor the estranged. Goodnight.

"On my lack of accurate self evaluation"
Self evaluation is overrated. Try self awareness. There is a difference. Know and acknowledge what you need to work on AND what you do well but don't dwell on either. Acknowledge it and learn how to better yourself not only as a performer but as a person.

"On whether or not I can do it"
I know you can do it.

"On Cabaret"
Life is a cabaret ol' chum so come to the Cabaret.

“On Luck”
I don't believe in luck.

“On being less talented than teenagers”
I’m not even going to acknowledge that comment.

“On maybe not being talented at all, just smart”
You are talented and describing yourself, as being 'just' smart will make both more intelligent and less intelligent people want to smack you over the head. (Myself included.) Don't ever dismiss your raw gifts.

“On not being all that smart”
Well, that is the dumbest thing you have ever said.

“On being a nerd”
I’d call that an asset.

“On how being a nerd only gets you so far”
Are we talking about bases here?

“On being nice”
I’m for it.

“On how being nice only gets you so far”
It certainly helps.

“On taking advantage”
Of people? Bad. Of opportunities? Good.

“On what if”
No one ever wins that game. You will never think of all of the potential outcomes and you will only drive yourself crazy.

“On what next”
The fact that that doesn’t drive you absolutely crazy is one of the reasons I believe you to be the bravest person I know.

“On self value”
SO important.

“On food. On lack of food. On dance. On working out.”
Healthy moderation. Be safe.

“On getting lazy”
Don’t.

“On lacking a specific goal”
I’ve never thought you did.

“On unemployment”
You’re not.

“On old dudes with girlfriends”
Apparently that is something we have to get used to. Just don’t be any other old dude’s girlfriend.

“On irresponsible girlfriends”
Don’t be one. That quota is filled.

“On angering people”
They will always be there.

“On burning bridges”
I don’t suggest it.

“On trust”
Trust yourself first. Then the rest will be easier.

“On altruism”
Good to an extent.

“On being twenty two and how i don't want to be”
Ready or not…

“On wearing makeup on a daily basis for the first time ever”
Welcome to my life!

“On having attended an all girls school”
I will always be envious of the totally different perspective you have because of that experience. Use that as an asset but remember that there are so many other types of diversity that weren’t as well represented during your years there.

“On feeling stupid and incompetent”
Don’t reduce yourself to that.

“On feeling bored and alone”
You aren’t either. Just remind yourself of that next time you feel that way.

“On feeling inspired and motivated, mostly due to competition”
Mostly? That’s not true.

“On how that's probably not right”
Well, it’s not true.

“On how it wouldn't be an issue if I had won in the first place”
What is that word from the elementary school spelling bee that you will never forget? I really do think that you learn more from failure than success.

“On success as revenge”
I know you have better reasons.

“On feeling unimportant and insignificant”
You know you are neither especially to me.

“On narcissism”
Rid yourself of it as much as you can.

“On quarter life crises”
I’ll just say that I think your middle life crisis is going to be a real doozy.
